John is a licensed Georgia Realtor and a member of the Atlanta Board of Commercial Realtors. He specializes in single tenant and multi-tenant commercial investment properties, restaurant leases and sales, and business leases throughout the greater metropolitan Atlanta area and Georgia. John has a proven record of identifying potential tenants for commercial rental spaces left empty due to the pandemic. In Nov. 2020, John successfully executed a 5-year lease for a 5,600 sq ft restaurant space, including a Bill of Sale for the equipment, furniture and trade fixtures. In July 2021, he represented the seller in closing a $3.2M multi-tenant plaza.

John was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and immigrated with his family to Toronto when he was four years old. He has a B.A. and paralegal degree from the University of Toronto. Prior to marrying Lorene and relocating to North Georgia, John founded and sold Tutor Doctor, an international tutoring franchise headquartered in Toronto, Canada, which now operates in more than 15 countries and has 17,000+ tutors worldwide. John frequently consults on family investment properties in China, Malaysia, Palau, and Australia.

Lorene draws on her years of law practice and involvement in documenting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of business transactions to assist SH Realty Group and eXp Commercial clients in making and closing commercial real estate deals.

Working closely with John, the client and the other members of the commercial deal team, Lorene’s 30+ years of legal and business experience provide invaluable insights, techniques, and collaborative guidance in avoiding pitfalls that can kill a deal. Once the purchase agreement is signed, she reviews it to create a Roadmap to Closing™ she then uses with the client and deal team to help drive toward a successful closing.

Prior to co-founding SH Realty, Lorene practiced business law for 30+ years, including as General Counsel for GE’s then $3.2B Transportation business, a global technology leader and supplier in the railroad, transit, marine, mining, and wind industries.
